RFP BGH Pier Repairs

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
BGH PIER REPAIRS
The Town of Dauphin Island, Alabama is requesting proposals from qualified individuals and/or firms to provide services for the Town of Dauphin Island as follows;
SCOPE OF WORK
The Town of Dauphin Island is accepting proposals for LABOR ONLY from qualified contractors to repair three (3) finger piers at the Billy Goat Hole Boat Ramps located at 112 Bienville Boulevard. The Town will supply all materials to complete the project.  This will include several recovered sections of the piers that will be reused and additional new materials as necessary.  The three finger piers are approximately sixty (60) feet long and four (4) feet wide each. Contractor will be responsible for repairing all portions of damaged piers including (but not limited to) decking, stringers, headers, rub rail, and replacing one piling (approx. 14′ x 8″).  Contractors interested in submitting a proposal must attend an on-site walk-through of the project on Monday, February 19, 2018 at 2pm (CST). A designated representative with the Town of Dauphin Island will be present to detail the scope of work and answer any questions. Proposals must be submitted to the Town of Dauphin Island in sealed envelopes labeled “BGH Pier Repairs” NO LATER than Friday, February 23, 2018 at 2pm (CST).  Proposals will be publicly opened on February 23, 2018 at 215pm (CST) at Town Hall.
CONTENTS OF PROPOSAL
All proposals submitted for review must contain (at a minimum) the following:
1)      Firm or Individual Name, address, telephone number and e-mail address
2)      Firm history; including experience related to this proposal
3)      Personnel to be assigned to this proposal
4)      Cost for the services provided.
NOTE: Cost for services MUST be based on LABOR ONLY! The Town will provide all materials and a designated Town representative will monitor progress of the repairs to ensure quality workmanship and code compliance.
PROPOSAL SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND DEADLINE
Interested firms must submit by 2:00 p.m. CST on February 23, 2018 a sealed copy of the proposal to:

Dog Waste Stations

DOG WASTE STATION LOCATIONS
 
Attached please find an island map showing the location of Dog Waste Stations. Additional stations will be installed in the coming weeks along with an updated map. The Town greatly appreciates the generous donations from local businesses, residents and visitors to help make this project such a success!

Power Outage

   POWER OUTAGE
Representatives with Alabama Power Company have notified town officials that an island-wide power outage is planned for Thursday, February 15, 2018. Repairs and installation associated with transmission lines/substation will require a six hour service interruption from 7am-1pm that day. Residents and business owners are encouraged to make appropriate plans in advance of the scheduled outage to reduce and/or eliminate any inconveniences. The town will notify you in the event the aforementioned day/time of outage should change for any reason.
